Checking in & Checking out
Greetings dear reader. I’m just checking in today to let you know that things on this site will be pretty quiet for the next couple of weeks. I’ll be trekking down to Florida for some much needed R&R during that time. We’ll be visiting family and just generally whooping it up in the Sunshine State.
One of the things we will be doing is something I have never done before and I’m pretty excited about it and a little nervous at the same time. My wife and kids and I will be attending a board gaming convention. Didn’t know those things existed? Neither did I until a few years ago. But over the past couple of years as my kids have gotten older we’ve been transitioning out of legos and other toys into board games for much of our family fun so I thought this might be a nice, relaxing way to spend part of our break.
One of the great things about this convention is that they have a library of over 1000 games and you can just check out and play whatever you want (as long as it’s available of course) so we plan on trying all kinds of new games. I may share a bit about what hidden gems I come across and more about my board gaming experiences in general in an upcoming post.
Until then, have a great couple of weeks!
