Chronotrace Book 2 Cover Sneak Peek
Cue the drum roll, fanfare, confetti, dancing bears, and everything else you can think of. Today I’m announcing the title of my upcoming book, the second in the Chronotrace series. It’s called Through the Viscera. And here’s a snippet from the cover:
A couple of things I’d just like to say about the title of this book and the cover. First off, I think this is my favorite cover yet. I’ll reveal the entire thing soon, but I just think this one turned out amazing and hopefully you can get a sense of that in this snapshot.
Now, regarding the title. I wasn’t really sure about it since I don’t think it gives a prospective reader much insight into what the book is about. But I decided to go with because I thought it fit well with what happens in the book and also with the title from book 1, Into the Vast. I never intended for the titles to have this sort of journey motif (in fact, the original title for book 1 was not Into the Vast), but in retrospect I like them that way. So the third book (whose title is not yet set in stone) will convey a similar idea: going through something, into something, up something, etc.
Also, if you don’t remember what the word ‘viscera’ means (or if you haven’t read the first book), you can look it up in the glossary.
So there it is. I hope you’re excited about this upcoming book. I can’t wait to get it to press. I’m actually meeting with my content editor later this week to go over the second half of the book! It’s grammar crunch time. Time to sweat adverbs. The finish line is just up ahead.
