Fantasy writing updates and another interview
Just a quick update today. I’ve been keeping a pretty steady pace on the writing front. I’ve finished the second draft for my 50 page fantasy short story Brazen and I’m a quarter of the way through the second draft for my upcoming fantasy novel The Last Motley. This book was actually written two years ago, but I decided not to publish it until The Chronotrace Sequence was finished. I’m really enjoying revisiting these characters and this fantasy world (which is called, Arinn by the way, and it has a really cool map that I hope to share with you some day). It’s so much different than the world of the Vast. There are actually trees and houses and towns and all that good, earthy, homey stuff. I find that I’ve missed being able to write about such things in the grim dystopian wasteland of the Chronotrace series.
I am a bit alarmed at how much I’m adding to the manuscript, but we’ll see how much of the new stuff survives to the end. If it does though, this one should be well over 300 pages when published.
The Ascent of the Nebula, the final book in The Chronotrace Sequence is still with my content editor, but I’m hopeful she’ll be able to finish it by the end of the month. I’m looking for beta readers so if anyone reading this is interested in beta-reading it, please let me know in the comments below.
Finally, I was interviewed by fellow author Keely Brooke Keith recently and you can check that out on her web site if you’d like to see what I had to say.
That’s all for now. Catch you later!
