Minstrel’s Call cover reveal

I’m delighted to be part of fellow fantasy author Jenelle Schmidt’s cover reveal today.

Jenelle, coincidentally, is also hosting today’s stop on the Magical Motley Book Tour over on her site!

You’re in for a real treat. This one’s a beauty. I love the colors on this one. I have to agree with Jenelle here. All her covers have been wonderful, but this one is my favorite.

But before we get to the visual fireworks, a little about the book.

The Minstrel’s Call

War threatens. The game board is set. But the Minstrel is missing…

Advancing his growing power, the Dread Prince breaks free of his prison and brings a faction of dragons under his control, stirring unrest and hatred in the newly united kingdoms of Tellurae Aquaous.

When the dragon wards of Kallayohm are targeted in a ruthless attack, the High King travels there to administer justice. But the trial results in a crippling blow that leaves him reeling.

On the heels of defeat, an unexpected message from the erstwhile Minstrel arrives, pleading with his friends for rescue. Together, the High King and his companions must follow the fragile trail, braving peril and darkness that will test the measure of them all…

Author Bio

jenelle leanne schmidt authorJenelle Schmidt grew up in the northern-Midwest. She now resides with her husband and their four adorable children in the wilds of Wisconsin. Her imagination was captured by authors such as Madeleine L’Engle, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Lloyd Alexander. It wasn’t long before she began making up her own stories and sharing them with her family. To this day she enjoys creating exciting adventure tales filled with poignant themes and compelling characters in the fantasy and sci-fi genres.

Thank you so much for writing this epic and beautiful story. Move over, Lewis, MacDonald, and Tolkien… there’s a new fantasy author on the scene!

Also, I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw the name of the last inn in the book 😀 that was such a fun surprise. I am honored 🙂

Oh, my…my three literary mentors. I can only hope I’ve created something in the same vein as their work. I am truly humbled and honored by your words.

And yes, that inn. I’ve been biting my tongue every time I’ve talked to you, my eyes twinkling with mischief at having put that in there. I did on the spur of the moment, probably on the very last draft. Glad you enjoyed it! Ha ha!
