Pardon the Interruption
Well, my oh my, the first Wednesday of the month has come and gone with no post about Nightstand Books. There are a variety of reasons for this. First and chief offender was that I completely spaced that it was a new month. Somehow in my scattered recollection of time I completely missed the revelation that it was July.
I blame it on the Developers and their experiments. I should have never accepted that invitation to spend the afternoon at the Institute. The free food was definitely not worth it. Especially since there wasn’t any food at all (despite the scientists’ protests to the contrary; they made up some contrived excuse that it was delivered through the air, invisibly…).
I thought I might be able to sneak it in during the evening, but once again, I got caught up in this silly old thing called writing. In short, I missed the chance to snap the picture and pen the post and there was great sadness in the land.
So where does that leave Nightstand books for July? Well, I would normally have just pushed it out a day late, but I’m taking a little mini vacation for Independence Day and I’ll be out the rest of the week. So, the plan is to put it up next Wednesday, a week late.
Somehow I don’t think anyone will really be heartbroken over this delay, but on the outside chance, there’s the reason for the misadventures of the Nightstand variety this week.
I’ll be back next week then with both a Nightstand post and a Six Degrees post!
