Chronotrace Book 2 Cover Sneak Peek

Cue the drum roll, fanfare, confetti, dancing bears, and everything else you can think of. Today I’m announcing the title of my upcoming book, the second in the Chronotrace series. It’s called Through the Viscera. And here’s a snippet from the cover:

A couple of things I’d just like to say about the title of this book and the cover. First off, I think this is my favorite cover yet. I’ll reveal the entire thing soon, but I just think this one turned out amazing and hopefully you can get a sense of that in this snapshot.

Now, regarding the title. I wasn’t really sure about it since I don’t think it  gives a prospective reader much insight into what the book is about. But I decided to go with because I thought it fit well with what happens in the book and also with the title from book 1, Into the VastI never intended for the titles to have this sort of journey motif (in fact, the original title for book 1 was not Into the Vast), but in retrospect I like them that way. So the third book (whose title is not yet set in stone) will convey a similar idea: going through something, into something, up something, etc.

Also, if you don’t remember what the word ‘viscera’ means (or if you haven’t read the first book), you can look it up in the glossary.

So there it is. I hope you’re excited about this upcoming book. I can’t wait to get it to press. I’m actually meeting with my content editor later this week to go over the second half of the book! It’s grammar crunch time. Time to sweat adverbs. The finish line is just up ahead.

Love it! Very pretty, and I like the title. It’s so interesting to see how the first book’s title really does sort of lay the groundwork for all the other titles in a series.

Aidan wrote his first short story and he has a new respect for authors. He would love to have a published article someday! That is his long term goal. Now back to his school work…Congratulations dear DJ! This is exciting indeed! I love the cover too and doing anatomy with our boys may shed a whole new meaning to viscera for me

Thanks for the encouraging words. I hope Aidan keeps writing. If he stays at it, there’s no telling what he can do.

Hopefully the boys will enjoy the book if they read it. I can’t promise it will help them too much on their anatomy lessons, but we’ll see!

You are a very good author. Your choice of vocabulary actually has me using a dictionary so that puts things in perspective. I love and miss your Wednesday words and we challenge the boys to expand on their limited vocabulary with them. Their learning challenges overwhelmed me at first but God has proven my panic is not necessary because He has given them what they need. Audio books work better for them but with that said… or like you shared we never know. The good news is they LOVE to read. Practice makes progress. I am in awe if how God uses people and His gifts to each one. Writing is a passion for you and it shows in your work. Proud of you, bro 😀
