Spring Cleaning for the Website

writing updates sign

I’ve been doing a little bit of updating to ye ol’ website the past few days and I thought I’d just take a moment to highlight the changes for those of you who might have missed them. Nothing earth shattering here, just a few neat little tweaks that I hope you’ll enjoy.

First off, there’s this little progress bar on the right hand side of the page. That’s a place where you can get a quick view of the current projects I’m working on and the relative state of their completion. I already use a similar progress bar for my own personal motivation and now with these you’ll be able to join in and get a sneak peak on these as well.

twitter iconAlso on the right hand side of the page, but further down, you’ll find access to my most recent tweets. I may not be the most prolific contributor to twitter, but that is by conscious choice. I don’t think it’s wrong for people to tweet about anything and everything and retweet half of what comes their way, it’s just not my style. I do have my website set to autopost whenever I put something new on this site, but everything else I do by hand. So there probably won’t be a hundred tweets there per day or even a dozen, but hopefully it will be stuff that, even if I’m retweeting someone else, I’ve put some thought into and believe is worth sharing.

Finally, my archived posts were getting a bit long, so I’ve collapsed them into a little drop down menu on the right as well. Based on the traffic I get here, not a whole lot of people are going back and looking at my older posts, but on the outside chance you want to, you can find them all there. Personally, I usually just do a search from the menu bar since I don’t remember everything I posted by month, but it’s always good to have options.

Well, there you have a little midweek update. I’ll be back with more news soon, hopefully about Ascent of the Nebula!

  1. Just wanted to say, a while back you recommended “Legend of the Guardians, the Owls of Ga’Hoole” – well, we finally got around to getting a copy to watch and it was amazing! I remember when the trailers were coming out and can I just say, this movie was advertised super poorly. It was nothing like the way the advertising made it look! What a beautiful, beautiful movie. Thank you, from my family to yours, for the recommendation. 🙂

    1. That’s great to hear! I agree the advertising didn’t do it justice. The only reason we ended up seeing it was because there wasn’t really anything else at the time that I thought would be worth trying, but we were quite taken with it and pleased that we did. So glad you and your family got to fly with Soren and his friends!
